Imagine being turned down for a loan due to someone stealing your identity? Worse yet is being turned down for an apartment because you are told you already have an apartment!

Identity theft is always personal, but the crime takes on a new meaning when it means you are not approved to do something as simple as renting a place to live.

In Murfreesboro, a woman who applied to live at an apartment complex was told that someone else not only used your ID, but used it and later got evicted from an apartment complex 3 hours West of Murfreesboro. Apparently, the victim learned the hard way that her identity was used to rent an apartment in Cordova, TN. The renter was later evicted.

Luckily, detectives know who the suspect is... As luck would have it the victim in Murfreesboro found out that her very own aunt used her identity to rent an apartment in West Tennessee and was kicked out for not paying.

THE UPDATE: The case is closed in Murfreesboro as the victim will have to fight for justice in the town where the actual crime of identity theft occurred.. Cordova, Tennessee.
