MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- February 9th started off as a normal day for 13 year old Kyrah Hall and her best friend Brianna Herrod until suddenly the neighbors dog started attacking 11 year old Brianna Herrod forcing Kyrah to jump to action.

Kyrah Hall used some of what she had learned from her mother, her nanna and her time as a Girl Scout to help provide medical attention to Brianna as the paramedics were on their way. But it was her bravery and toughness that got the dog to stop attacking Brianna before her injuries worsened.

After Kyrah fought off the dog, she carried Brianna to the house and started bandaging her cuts and wounds. The first responders noted that Brianna was bandaged up when they arrived and thought "it looked like the fire department had done it" because it was done so well.

They later learned of her bravery prompting the city to present Kyrah with A "Resolution Of Recognition" March 12th in front of city officials, Kyrah's local pastor, her friends and family. Kyrah was joined by Brianna as she received her award capping off a night and a series of events she won't soon forget
