The local Salvation Army's work continues here in Rutherford County, despite five COVID-19 positive staffers.

Major Joe Irvin says they're taking precautions so they can continue to serve:

Irvin says two of the five staff members were hospitalized, but both are home now:

The major is actually one of the staffers who has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-quarantining:

Irvin was tested last week, with negative results. But a Monday test revealed by Tuesday he was positive.

AGAIN -- the work of the Salvation Army is continuing. They're serving the 42 in their shelter and the community meal is still being served daily at 5PM. Irvin did say the meal is only by carryout for non-shelter residents. Those who need a meal can show up at the local Salvation Army's headquarters on 1137 West Main Street at Salam Highway.
