An arrest in an indecent exposure case has been made in Murfreesboro.
Police reports show that a 20-year-old woman was returning to her car parked in the Target parking lot when she found that a man parked next to her vehicle was exposing himself.
Detective Michael Yates wrote in his report, "A male subject in a vehicle near her waved at her and pointed his hand downward towards the vehicles seat." The report went on to describe that when the victim looked into the car, "She observed a male masterbating." The woman then yelled at the subject who quickly drove away.
Detective Yates with the Murfreesboro Police Department learned that there was another case that was similar to the situation reported at the Old Fort Parkway Target store. During the investigation, Brayan Morales Motta was developed as a suspect.Authorities viewed security video footage at Target and saw that the suspect was driving a black Hyundai and the man had a tattoo on his neck.
After an interview with the suspect, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of 20 year old Brayan Motta, who was charged with indecent exposure.
Previous Case Linked Suspect
A previous case linked Motta to the Target incident, according to police records. The previous case was reported in January of this year.
In the first case investigated by detectives, Motta allegedly parked next to a female's car in the TJ Maxx parking lot, also on Old Fort Parkway. When the 21-year-old female returned to her car she saw a man sitting in a neighboring car masturbating who asked, "Do you like what you see?" The man allegedly grabbed the victims' arm and pulled it into his vehicle. The victim pulled away and the man drove off.
Motta was charged with assault and indecent exposure. He is currently free on bond.
