The rotunda at the Murfreesboro City Hall was packed Thursday (3-1-2012) afternoon as Mayor Tommy Bragg handed out the awards for the annual City School Art Competition. The display continues Monday through Fridays, 8:00 to 4:30 daily, through March 23rd.
Mayor Bragg said, "Not only am I appreciative for the tremendous talent displayed in the works of these students, but feel this show is a tribute to the art teachers in our system."
WGNS' Bart Walker assisted the mayor in giving out the ribbons and cash awards. He commented, "Today's youth need ways to express themselves, and the variety of feelings displayed on the rotunda walls shows our community will continue to have strong leaders in the future."
