A past president of Oaklands Association passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon (3/19/2012). Kirby McNabb was being driven to the hospital by a friend when excruciating pain forced them to stop and call paramedics. The 55-year old East Main resident passed away with what was thought to be problems related to his aorta.
Woodfin Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements, and plans have not been finalized at this time.
