For the second time in the past two weeks, a second citizen has called the police after being ripped off by a fictitious roofing company. This time the Federal Court victim told officers that she paid the suspect $4,500 for materials, but the roofing job never got off the ground. The victim says the man behind the scam told her his name was Chad O’Loughlin. It is now up to police to determine if that is the suspects’ real name or if that too is a hoax. Police are now investigating to find out if there are more victims who fell for the roofing scam.
