Murfreesboro Man Accused of Bigamy

Bigamy is against the law and one Murfreesboro man may have to answer to the courts about his decision to get married three times without divorcing.  The suspect was accused by one of his wives of getting married but not divorcing on March 22nd. The wife who reported the crime has copies of the marriage certificates to prove her husband’s dishonesty. So far, an arrest has not been made. The crime of bigamy carries with it a maximum sentence of 11-months and 29-days behind bars. The suspect can also be fined $2,500.
