Three apartment buildings on Benley Street, Macedonia Court and Medora Court were tagged with gang graffiti. The graffiti bore the infamous name of the MS-13 gang. MS-13 is a gang that originated in Los Angeles and spread to other parts of the United States. Members of MS distinguish themselves by tattoos covering the body and also often the face. The gang currently operates in 42-states and has as many as 10,000 members nationwide. It is not known how many MS-13 gang members are living in Rutherford County.
