Southern Community Bank Debuts

If you drive down Old Fort Parkway, you'll notice a new bank. Sort of. Southern Community Bank is now open after the company aquired the Murfreesboro branch of Community Trust Bank and Trust. Bill Yoder, who is President and CEO of Southern Community Bank, says they've already had a presence in the Murfreesboro area with the bank’s loan production office led by banking veteran, Ben Weatherford. The bank branch allows them to expand further here in Murfreesboro. While the name has changed, the faces in the bank branch remain the same. Beverly Barker, who was the bank manager under the former ownership, will remain in that same position. Southern Community Bank is on Old Fort Parkway, next to the Doubletree Hotel.
