Local Rolling Thunder to DC for Memorial Day!

On the upcoming Memorial Day weekend a large contingent of local Rolling Thunder veterans are making the trek to our nation's capitol for the 25th annual Ride for Freedom.

Chapter President Jim Phillipson and Bob "Bulldog" Ousley told WGNS News . . .

They noted that evidence shows that in addition to American POW's still being in Vietnam, there are likely vets still in Korea, and Russia.

Phillipson noted, "There are many things individuals can do to generte more patriotism. One is to regularly fly Old Glory. Another is to attend Memorial Day tributes at area military cemetaries. And time of reflection at the Healing Fields over the upcoming three-day weekend in the field next to the Avenue of Murfreesboro. And let vets know you appreciate their service to our country."

The local Rolling Thunder chapter meets at 1:00 in the afternoon on the fourth Sunday of each month at VFW Post 8422, which is located at 10157 Old Nashville Highway in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Below is the complete Action Line broadcast of Wednesday, May 23rd.
