Murfreesboro Police are investigating a shooting in the 400 block of Forrest Street. It happened just after 2:30 Tuesday afternoon when the unidentified victim was shot in the back with a shotgun blast. After being shot, the victim was transported to Middle Tennessee Medical Center and then flown by LifeFlight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. The name of the victim has not been released.
