A 40-year old Greenview Drive man in Murfreesboro was arrested after police say they found him passed out in his van with his seven year old son inside. Ryan Roger Parks was unconscious after allegedly huffing a can of compressed air. The child in the car was not injured and was released to the Department of Children Services. The incident occurred in the Kroger parking lot on Lascassas Pike. Because Parks was in his van when he allegedly huffed the compressed air, he was charged with DUI. He was also charged with child abuse / neglect. Parks will appear in court on October 11.
