The announcement several weeks ago of G. Gordon Liddy's retirement on July 27th means program lineup changes on WGNS.
"We are always striving to provide as much local, stimulating talk that impacts us here in Rutherford County. While we're sad to lose the G-Man, we're excited about the future.
Bryan Barrett, WGNS Station Manager announces the station's new weekday program lineup...
"George Plaster will join the WGNS sports team afternoons from 3 to 6. All Sport Talk will move from 4 to two to give us four hours of local sports talk. Those changes begin July 23rd. Then after the G-Man's farewell, Truman Jones and I will move to mornings July 30th. The Truman Show at 9 and Rutherford Issues at 10."
Barrett will also anchor the new Early Show from 5-6:30am before Scott and Bart Walker host the morning news, Swap N' Shop and the Action Line. In addition, Zach Troutman will host an hour of news from 11 to noon, followed by the Clark Howard Show, which expands to two hours.
