Officer Impersonation Case Reported in Murfreesboro

A 24-year old man told police that he drove into an apartment complex on Hazelwood Street with his music turned up and that a man claiming to be a sheriff’s deputy confronted him about the loud music. The victim in this case told Murfreesboro Police the suspect did not have a badge or a gun. According to the police report, the culprit identified himself and gave the victim what was believed to be a false name. The victim quickly called the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and learned that the man was not employed as a deputy. If the subject is caught, he will have some explaining to do. The case has been labeled as harassment and officer impersonation. So far, he has not been caught.
