Ever wondered how the highway patrol functions on a daily basis? The Tennessee Highway Patrol is now accepting applications for their Citizens Trooper Academy. The 10-week course meets once weekly and gives participants some 30-hours of training. The deadline to register for their September class is August 10th. Applications are at www.tn.gov/safety.
