Murfreesboro in Need of More School Buses

The local city schools are currently running 23-school buses on a daily basis and more buses are need to transport children to the 12 schools Murfreesboro oversees. According to a school board meeting earlier this week, Murfreesboro will spend close to $500,000 on three new school buses and new bus drivers. About 200 more students are riding the bus this school year when compared to last year. Some of the schools needing more buses to run additional routes include Erma Siegel Elementary, Cason Lane Academy, Scales Elementary and John Pittard Elementary.
