More Meningitis Cases Likely

We've been reporting several cases of meningitis across Middle Tennessee and health officials warn more cases are likely. The outbreak is believed to have sickened more than 20 people in five states, with four deaths. All of those received epidural steroid injections for back pain at the St. Thomas Neurosurgery Center in Nashville. This fungal meningitis is not contagious like other forms, including the one that claimed the life of 18-year old MTSU student Jacob Nunley.
