One of eleven people named this week could become the first principal of Stewarts Creek High School. Six of the educators vying for the position are from Blackman and Smyrna High Schools, which will have enrollments drop when the school opens. Candidates for the position are:
- Clark Harrell, Amy Connifey-Marlin and John Strickland, assistant principals from Blackman High
- Billy Barris, Joel Rowlett and Sherri Southerland assistant principals from Smyrna High
- Sam Guydon, assistant principal at Oakland High
- Judy Sides, assistant principal at Riverdale High
- Glenn Paschall, assistant principal at Pearl-Cohn High in Nashville
- Larry Creasy, principal at Stewarts Creek Middle
- Marilyn Hill, teacher at Christiana Middle
Stewarts Creek High School will open in August of 2013. The first principal of Stewarts Creek will be in place by January.
