Area residents will have the opportunity to walk through less commercial Christmas' season as the Annual Oaklands Historic House Museum's Candlelight Tour of Homes takes place from 4:00 to 8:00 Saturday evening (12/1/2012) in the Historic District of Murfreesboro.
Obviously, Oaklands will be decked-out with holiday decorations of the 1800's, along with exhibits around the lawn of the old plantation home at 900 North Maney Avenue. Refreshments will be served inside Maney Hall, where Photographer Bill Shacklett will create photos with Santa.
Cherry Lane Homes
This year there are three homes on Cherry Lane. Those include Mary Catherine and David Sevier's at 138 Cherry Lane, Susan and Phil Lloyd's at 152 Cherry Lane as well as Tammie and Greg Waldrons at 148 Cherry Lane.
East Main Street Homes
An equal number of southern charm decked out for the Yule Season is showcased on East Main Street. Strollers will enjoy Charlene and Ron Taylor's at 816 East Main Street. Just down the sidewalk you'll discover Pat and Mat Ward's at 1019 East Main Street. And those beautiful estates include Marietta and Jim Bishop's home at 1103 East Main Street.
Again, the Oaklands Historic House Museum's Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes is this weekend. It's from 4:00 Saturday afternoon until 8:00 in the evening.
