The manager of a local hotel received an envelope in the mail containing a powdery white substance. The letter was received on Wednesday at the Vista Inn on Westgate Boulevard. Inside the envelope was a folded up piece of paper with the words, “I LOVE YOU” written on it.

When the hotel employee opened the envelope, she says the powder spilled onto her shirt and desk. The Murfreesboro Fire Department was called to the scene to determine if the substance was hazardous. Commander Alexander with the fire department deemed the white powder was safe to handle. There is no word on who sent the hotel the bizarre letter.
