It's the week before Christmas, and all through the town--all the road projects were stirring--in preparation for a holiday shut-down. With that in mind, Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns motorists of potential trouble spots now through December 22nd.
City Construction Projects
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Final Striping and Street Lighting work continues on Veterans Pkwybetween Lone Oak Drive and Barfield Road. There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Bradyville Pike Road Survey Work (between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd)
Expected NO Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Surveying crews will be working along Bradyville Pike between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Middle Tennessee Blvd at Division Street
E Clark Blvd (between N Highland Ave and Memorial Blvd): Expected Lane Closures: Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Contractor for Murfreesboro Electric Department will be trimming tree limbs around utility power poles on Middle Tennessee Blvd at Division Street and on E Clark Blvd between N Highland Ave and Memorial Blvd. There will be a moving operation lane closure on Middle Tennessee Blvd (southbound only) and on E Clark Blvd (westbound only). Arrow boards and proper traffic controls will be in place.
Murfreesboro Urban Environmental Landscape Maintenance Project (Central Business District)
ExpectedNO LaneClosures; Sunday, December 15, 8 AM to 5 PM: Landscape Support Services will be planting trees around the central business district and the public square. There will be minor traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Citymilling, paving, striping and casting crews will be working on the following streets and subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.
