A Murfreesboro woman told police the argument with her significant other started when she failed to do house chores and it led to an arrest involving some very serious charges on Sunday night. According to the domestic violence report, the fight started when the victim did not do the laundry. “She stated he was screaming so loud that she decided to call police to get him to leave,” according to the report. The man allegedly grabbed the phone away from the victim in an attempt to end the chances of her making the call, which led to the charge of “Preventing another person from calling emergency services.” The responding officer wrote, “She stated she was in fear for her life.”
When the victim tried to exit the house, the culprit allegedly pulled her back inside. The victim told officers she threw her phone into her yard where her kids were said to be playing and yelled for them to dial 9-1-1.
The 43-year old suspect, Cesar Crispin, had a different side to the story all together. He claims they were in an argument because he could not get the so called victim any Lortab pain killers. Regardless of his thoughts, police determined Crispin to be the primary aggressor and also charged him with false imprisonment and domestic assault. He will have a chance to explain his actions to a judge on May 30th in a Rutherford County General Sessions courtroom.
