Planning to travel to a foreign country? Well, it’s not too late to learn a foreign language before you go. Dr. Shelley Thomas invites you to attend the Summer Language Institute at MTSU.
The five-day immersion courses will highlight the French, Spanish, Arabic, Latin or Chinese languages. The courses are taught using revolutionary total physical response methods.
Here is the cool thing about these courses… anyone can learn enough to have a conversation with a native speaker in only one week of class.
The Center for Accelerated Language Acquisition of MTSU focuses on using methods based on research as to how the brain learns best. Infused with methods like TPR (Total Physical Response) and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling), the resulting class is engaging, natural and fun. Languages include French, Spanish, Arabic, Latin and Chinese.
