A total of three doctor shopping incidents were reported to police in the past 4-days in Murfreesboro. All three reports were filed from Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

At the hospital, the complainant told authorities during three separate occasions, that culprits entered the emergency room seeking pain medications. During two of the cases, the patients never told the medical staff that they were already on benzos and pain meds prescribed by different doctors.

Benzo is short for benzodiazepine and it is a prescription medication that acts on the central nervous system. The drug is supposed to produce sedation and muscle relaxation. The drug is also known for lowering anxiety levels and is often abused when being used as a recreational drug, which is against the law.

In the case at the local hospital, one suspect was 43-years of age, another 33 and the third was 47-years old.
