On Thursday, WGNS spoke to Melanie Scott, Vice President of Community Engagement for the STARS program. STARS stands for Students Taking a Right Stand and they help children who are dealing with a number of issues that may have an impact on everyday living. Those issues could involve a parents’ divorce or alcohol and drug dependencies. Scott told us what some of the teenagers in Rutherford County are dealing with.
