The Cannon County Sheriff’s Office caught a motorist who was doing 18-miles per hour down Short Mountain Road, a road that is usually traveled at a modest 40-miles per hour. Once stopped, and it didn’t take long to slow to a stop, deputies realized that driver Joshua Cripps was driving on a suspended license. Inside the car they say they found painkillers and marijuana. Evidently, enough of the two to suspect he was selling it. He was charged with possession with the intent to sell. He was also issued a citation for violating the wheel tax law. Cripps will have to do some explaining to the Judge this week.
