Murfreesboro Police Department announced the arrest of a juvenile for recklessly shooting an arrow into a crowd of people at Siegel Elementary School on Friday, September 23, 2011.
The juvenile turned himself in to authorities after hearing of the incident on the news according to Detective Mike Taylor, who is in charge of the investigation. After interviewing the juvenile, it was determined that the incident was an accident and there was no intention to shoot the arrow into the crowd.
The juvenile was taken into custody at the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center on October 03rd on the charge of reckless endangerment. His detention hearing in juvenile court was October 05th. He was released to the custody of his parents and was instructed to obey household rules. He was also ordered by the court to attend a “hunter safety course”. His next appearance in Juvenile court is scheduled for December 05th.
