Black Hawk helicopters with the Tennessee National Guard in Smyrna are scheduled to land on the MTSU soccer practice field adjacent to the Campus Recreation Center (Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center) on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m., officials in the military science/ROTC program said.

As a reward for their hard work in the first half of the fall semester, 11 cadets who are part of the Ranger Challenge team, several cadre (professors) and possibly several other cadets will be flown by the Black Hawks around Murfreesboro for a brief period of time.

University official suggests that spectators arrive by 8:45 a.m., 15 minutes before the Black Hawks’ scheduled arrival. The location is between Blue Raider Drive and MTSU Boulevard, near Rutherford Boulevard on the east side of campus.
