A Murfreesboro man who left his four year old child home alone while he allegedly ventured out to the store has been arrested. Police say when they arrived at the Vine Street apartment of Terry Ward, Jr. they found marijuana, wooden planks on the floor with nails sticking out of them and trash in his apartment. Ward told police that he did not think his child would leave his room while he rode his bike to the store. Ward was charged with child neglect, possession of a scheduled 6 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Ward will appear in court on December the 13th. The child has been released to his mother.
