The Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department has entered into an agreement with Mitchell Neilson Primary and Bradley Academy to help children learn more about science and biology. The project is also utilizing the help of MTSU in teaching second graders about the outdoors. The Families Understanding Nature and Nutrition project will include outdoor exploration and outdoor field studies for second graders. MTSU’s Center for Physical Activity and Health in Youth is covering the cost of the $11,000 program for the city schools.
