If it were not for a burning candle, one local woman would not have walked in on a burglary in progress. A Murfreesboro woman told police she thought she left a candle burning and decided to go back home to check. When she opened the door to her home she was surprised to see a man standing in her kitchen. When she yelled at the man, he fled the scene. A neighbor gave chase, but the man got away. Police have yet to make an arrest in the Bell Street burglary case, but have a good idea of who the burglar may be.
