Brittany Maxwell was a vibrant young Police Officer with the Murfreesboro Police Dept. ,and was stationed at the Franklin Heights Housing complex. Inspired by a young child who said Christmas trees were only for rich people, she started the Christmas Tree Project so families could have a tree who normally wouldn’t have one. Unfortunately, she passed away before the project was complete. Her family & friends have decided to take on her project and named it “The Brittany Project” in her honor.
In addition to providing trees with decorations to The Franklin Heights neighborhood, The Brittany Project has partnered with Last Call 4 Grace Ministries to provide 3 & 4 ft trees with decorations, to homeless families living in Murfreesboro Motels. The group needs 3, 4, & 6 foot Pre-lit Christmas trees, new or gently used ornaments, tree skirts & toppers. All donated items must be secured in original packaging. Monetary donations can be made at any FirstTennessee Bank under “The Brittany Project.”
