It's a busy week in local sports as prep teams gear up for district tournament play while the Blue Raider teams look to finish out the regular season strong.
Coverage of the District 7-AAA Tournament on NewsRadio WGNS State Farm Prep Sports begins Wednesday from Oakland. Smyrna and La Vergne girls will battle in the 6pm game with Smyrna vs. Stewarts Creek boys at 7:30. They'll have two games each night Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The four-game semifinal will be on Saturday. Girls consolation and championships will be Monday, February 19th with boys the next day.
The Middle Tennessee men are at Southern Miss Thursday night while on the radio we will have Western Kentucky at the Lady Raiders. On Saturday, they'll host Rice and the men are at Louisiana Tech. Both games will be on the radio.
With so many games, especially during tournaments, NewsRadio WGNS is widening our broadcast capabilities to offer coverage of MTSU and prep games. Some games will be on both radio and streaming while some will be radio only and others streaming only.
