You can blame it on the turkey smoker. A fire at a home on Riverview Drive this past Friday morning was caused by a smoker that was cooking a turkey. The fire destroyed a garage and a deck just before 9 on Friday. The man who was smoking the turkey evidently wrapped a blanket around the smoker to keep the smoke in. That blanket caught fire. The home was not damaged in the blaze, only the garage and deck. No one was injured.
