Murfreesboro Solid Waste Department will be closed Thursday only so there will be no garbage pickup that day.
Thursday’s routes will be picked up Wednesday. Residents whose pickup service is Thursday are asked to take particular note to avoid waiting until the following week for service. Friday’s routes will be picked up like usual.
As always, residents are asked to place their carts at the curb the night before or by 7 a.m. morning of service.
Both golf courses (Old Fort and Veterans Administration) and all parks and recreation facilities, The Wilderness Station in the rear of Barfield-Crescent Park, Cannonsburgh Village, McFadden and Patterson Park community centers and Sports*Com will be closed only on Thursday.
McFadden will be open Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All other parks and recreation facilities will reopen Friday during normal hours. PROJECT GO! will be closed both Thursday and Friday.
