“Operation Death Cooker,” the Nashville Police Department’s year-long and largest meth investigation to date, has resulted in the indictment of 39 persons on 91 criminal counts for their alleged roles in aiding in the manufacture and subsequent distribution of methamphetamine in Davidson, Humphreys and Benton Counties. Of the 39-arrests, one of the suspects is from Rutherford County. Smyrna resident Jose Sosa-Ramirez was apprehended and taken to the Davidson County Jail.
The ring leader in the meth making was a man by the name of Shane Lewis Oakley. The 30-year olds monthly meth income was estimated to have been between $12,000 & $15,000.
