(above photo) Most of the downtown hospital is gone. Only the Arnhardt office complex and an adjacent newer wing of the hospital remain. Both are scheduled for the wrecking ball. Onlookers were curious on Wednesday (11/23/2011) as to why crews were covering the windows in the hospital section that is next to the offices. (below photo) You can see the remaining section of the hospital on the right of photo. The debris you see in the foreground is the majority of the hospital. Plans do not call for the demolition of the newer Bell Street Center and multi-level parking garage, part of which are seen in the rear of the picture.
