Murfreesboro Making Newly Annexed Residents Aware of City Serivces

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department is canvassing a 283-acre annexed area on the city’s west side to make sure the residents are aware of their new services. These services include police and fire protection, weekly garbage collection and water and sewer services, among others.

During their canvass, fire officials say Project SAFE will also be underway. If no working smoke detector is found, firefighters will install one. If the batteries aren’t working in residences that have detectors, fresh ones will be installed.

Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department is contacting households that did not respond to special census letters sent to area residences earlier this year.
