Home Lost Monday Morning Blaze On East Buckeye Bottom Road

A home on East Buckeye Bottom Road, near state route 840 is a total loss after a Monday morning (11/28/2011) blaze. At this time, officials do not know what caused the fire.

Fire destroyed Jerry Boggs’ home at 6188 East Buckeye Bottom Road, said Deputy Gene Thorpe who was the first to arrive on the scene Monday morning.“Twelve to 14 foot flames were coming out of the roof” when he arrived. No one was home.

Rutherford County Fire Department and Walter Hill and Almaville Volunteer Fire Departments responded. Cause of the fire is unknown. The fire started between the bedroom and bathroom.
