The "S" word is in the forecast. For Rutherford County, the prediction is for enough snow to dust surfaces, but to the south and west, it could accumulate up to an inch or two. By the way, the earliest measurable snowfall in the mid-state was on October 30th, 1925 when there was about an inch of snow. While November snowfall is rare, the mid-state did see over 7-inches on November 2nd, 1966. That was the earliest big snowfall since records have been kept.
