A Colorado woman escaped unharmed after she reported two men carjacked the rental car she drove about 7 Tuesday night.

Victim Kathleen Noe, who is visiting relatives in Rutherford County, reported she was driving on Alsup Mill road when she saw a car, possibly a green Ford Taurus with the hood up, blocking the road, Deputy Brad Lynn reported.

The black man and white man approached and asked if she had any jumper cables or if they could use the battery. She popped the hood and opened her door.

“Ms. Noe stated they grabbed her and threw her into the ditch,” Lynn reported.

The white male told her he had a gun in his pocket and ordered her to do what he said. She managed to run away and hide in a tree line. One of the men left in the rental car. The car was later recovered in Wilson County.

Detective Bryant Gregory is investigating. People with information may call him at 904-3054.
