An arrest has been made in a Smyrna, TN shooting that left one person dead this past Friday (6/22/18).

Smyrna police officers responded to a shooting call at Sullivan's Sports Bar around 1:00 o'clock Friday (6/22/2018) morning. Once on-the-scene they found a victim who had been shot and unconscious in the parking lot at 701 Presidents Place.

Paramedics from the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services tried to stabilize victim Errol Lyons and rushed him to StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna. Lyons died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Sergeant Bobby Gibson told WGNS that suspect Marcus Jerome Brown was located and taken into custody without incident in Murfreesboro. 37 Year old Brown has been charged with Criminal Homicide and is currently at the Rutherford County Detention Center.
