Incumbents Madelyn Scales Harris and Rick LaLance were returned by Murfreesboro voters to the city council while newcomer Ronnie Martin took the third seat.
Vice Mayor Scales-Harris garnered the most votes with 9,014 (22.40%):
Martin fills the open seat left vacent with the passing of former Vice Mayor Doug Young.
