It was just a few days ago when Facebook, the world's most popular social network and growing advertising channel for businesses large and small crashed.

Even while facing legitimate concerns over the handling of data, privacy lapses, and other controversies swirling around the social media giant, usage continues to grow according to the latest statistics which reveal that 2.23 BILLION people around the world login to Facebook at least once per month.

Today's outage is Facebook's latest drop in what has become an increasingly more common set of circumstances. We gather it is not the last time the site will encounter such a problem.
