Fleet Feet, the retail leader in building and supporting thriving local running communities, will partner with Mizuno throughout the month of October to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) as part of Project Zero.
Launched by both brands in 2017, Project Zero aims to reduce the statistic of one in eight women receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime to zero, and brings attention and fundraising to breast cancer research.
"The running community is a powerful force for change and good, particularly when united together for a cause," says Joey Pointer, CEO and President of Fleet Feet. "Fleet Feet is honored to be a part of this initiative with Mizuno, and we remain dedicated to raising both awareness of the disease and money to fund BCRF's life-saving research."
"We are thrilled to work with Fleet Feet to drive the Project Zero initiative," said Chuck Couch, Mizuno VP of Running. "Breast cancer is a far-reaching disease that affects so many, including our Mizuno and Fleet Feet families. Through Project Zero, we are supporting BCRF in the quest to eliminate breast cancer through research--because research saves lives."
Owners of Fleet Feet stores across the nation are supporting the cause locally with events and activities in-store to show support for the people in their lives who have battled or are battling breast cancer.
Fleet Feet Murfreesboro will be hosting their 2nd annual Ladies Night in support of Project Zero® Thursday, October 11th from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Raffles, food, and drinks will be available. The store will also be giving away prizes throughout the evening.
