As Vanderbilt Medical Center readies for construction of a new 37,500 square foot pediatric clinic and surgery center in Murfreesboro, the City is working on plans for a new roadway.

The new road would ultimately be an extension of Northfield Boulevard at Broad Street, across the Stones River and connecting to Thompson Lane.

Original plans focused on a roadway directly next to New Vision Baptist Church, which the Vanderbilt pediatric clinic will be behind. However, a small swap of land with the Stones River Battlefield and Old Fort Park is now being considered....



The connection of roadway to Thompson Lane will occur before Northfiled Boulevard is extended across the Stones River.
