After the Saturday (3/9/2019) night storms passed, a home invasion erupted in Walter Hill. Rutherford County Sheriff detectives and deputies are investigating the reported home invasion that left both the resident and apparent perpetrator suffering gunshot wounds. One allegedly shot in the head and the other evidently had a gunshot wound to the arm.

Neighbors tell WGNS the incident occurred in the area of Mona Road and Tiger Woods Way. Names are being withheld at this time as this is an open and active investigation.

The alleged perpetrator was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the resident was treated at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
