Local military hero Fayne Haynes joined family and friends at Demos' Restaurant on Monday (1/2/2012) as he celebrated his 90th birthday. 

Haynes is a decorated Army veteran who was a prisoner of war. He later opened Haynes Candy Company, and sold it a few years ago but kept his building on Lytle Street. He uses that as the home of Haynes Flag Company as well as a World War II museum. 

In addition to running a business, he exercises daily, drives and helps others around the community.
