The Murfreesboro City Council has given the police department approval to rent office space for its investigative division. Cheif Glenn Chrisman told WGNS News . . .
He noted that the former Bob Parks office building near Black Fox School was well designed for the department's needs. Chrisman hopes to be moved by February, but he noted that March would be more realistic.
Chief Chrisman said that all criminal interrogations and sexual offenders making their required registrations would continue to be at the main police department on South Church Street. The new Rutherford Boulevard facility would strictly be used for investigative work and filing of evidence.
While on the WGNS Action Line, a listener asked how Officer Terry Spence was doing? Spence was at an accident scene on state route 840 Tuesday, when a car rear-ended the police vehicle in which he was completing a report. Spence was taken to the ER at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was treated and released.
